Hi Everyone,
To say sorry for last week’s network issue, everyone who was directly affected will get the equivalent of 3 days back on their September bill or via their top-up.
To thank *all* our customers for supporting us through an unprecedented and difficult period, we are also giving everyone on O2 a £10 O2 voucher to spend in store.
More details on our blog post: http://blog.o2.co.uk/
Once again, apologies for any inconvenience caused.
Thanks
Abs

No mobile network is 100 percent reliable 100 percent of the time. Going to another network wouldn't guarantee the same thing wouldn't happen again to you. With you been ill etc, you should have had more than one telephone number for to be contacted on has mobile phones can suffer from poor/no coverage. A landline telephone number would have been a better choice.

i dont want the vouchers or money off i just want to leave, my reason has been posted in another thread but the short of it i was very ill having major surgery on my tummy, while pregnant, my family could not contact me, my other half is in the army half way across the world and no one knew if me and the baby was okay, all i want is to leave my contract without charges and go somewhere else as lost trust in o2 now.

Your quite right it could happen at another network, but that's not the issue, the way it wasn't handled from beginning to end is indeed the issue, with today's so called compensation being the final straw! Just because the "terms & conditions" allow you to not do anything ,surely that's where your "O2 way",Valued customer" attitude etc steps in!,or is it PR!?as thats free!
Compare it to BT just over £8 for two weeks without service, big difference I think, or £25 for three months:

SORRY TRYING TO UNDERSTAND THE POINTS MADE! SO IF BT MAKE DERISORY OFFER AND OR OTHER NETWORKS WOULD DO THE SAME,THAT MEANS WE SHOULD NOT POINT OUT THE OBVIOUS ABOUT THEM ALL,AND SELF-CENSOR OURSELVES!?MMMM,INTERESTING!
Sorry I won't even read that while you're shouting.

I'm simply making the point that the offer is more generous than you are saying, considering in the terms you agreed to, they don't have to offer anything.
