I have forgotten my passcode and am blocked for one hour. I will probably get it wrong again. How can this be rectified please?

The lock out will only get longer with each attempt, and you dont say what phone you have:

Android: https://support.google.com/android/answer/7663172?hl=en-GB


You will need to wipe the device and start again, if neither option works
