Hi
I entered a chat in MyO2 earlier today because I had been given a new account and apparently another new phone number rather than my existing account being upgraded on the same number and a new plan. I am on holiday in the US with only my existing number. It was suggested in the chat that the second account had been created in error and the accounts should be merged. I specifically asked for this not to be done because I was worried it would cause problems while I am abroad and need my phone. I have just landed and I can not connect to any networks. I have tried to log into MyO2 but my account is no longer recognised. I can’t call any help numbers because I don’t have a phone. Any online chat needs me to log into MyO2 again. Further has all the chat I had earlier now been deleted.
Please help. I need my MyO2 account opened asap as the only way I can communicate without a working phone is online chat when I have a WiFi connection.

Call +44800 902 0217 or +44800 032 1402 or +44800 081 0255
When it comes to the reason you are calling, stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.
Press 2 for Everything Else
Press 5 for More Options
Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to someone.
Say 'Upgrade', 'Lost/Stolen', or 'Fraud' if the suggestion above doesn't get you through.
Best time to call is 8 am.

Looks as if you have taken out a new contract rather than upgrading your old one.
If O2 can't help while you are in the US, you could buy a local sim from T-Mobile or AT&T mobile. At least you would have a working phone.
