Hi an advisor yesterday advised me to replace my sim due to the fact I’m unable to receive sms text messages, however I have woken up today with no signal whatsoever. Shouldn’t I receive my sim in hand before you leave me disconnected especially with the fact that Royal Mail are currently on strike. I use this telephone number for work and you have left me in the dark.

Hello and welcome to the O2 Community Forum.
I don't think that O2 would disconnect you "out of hand" something must be wrong
with the network surely?
You should contact o2 customer services as @Enlli suggests
but you can also check here to:

Standard practice these days to activate a replacement sim before it's sent out.
Totally stupid but that's the way it is.

This seems to be happening a lot lately @Hus1
You might need to visit your local o2 store to get a sim, but I'll mention the community advisors to see if they can help @O2Ryan @O2Jonathan
Can you find out what is going on with this please @Martin-O2 @RafaC @Breanna as this is not great customer services - a blank sim should get sent out and the customer should do the sim swap when it arrives...
Please note, this is not customer services and we cannot access your account. Do not publish personal details (email, phone number, bank account).
