Have you checked the service status at https://status.o2.co.uk

If there is a service issue then it can take weeks or months to resolve especially if it includes access, digging things up, spare parts

Have a look at this guide here Guide: How can I sort out my network issues?  Guide: Is the network down for me or everyone?

Unfortunately o2 dont guarantee 100% service uptime or coverage as per the T&C's and no network does...

You can always look at enbaling WiFi Calling on your phone :

https://www.o2.co.uk/connectivity/wifi-and-4g-calling

iPhone 16 Pro Max - o2 and Spusu
Xperia 1V - Spusu

This is not customer services and we dont have access to your account
I do not work for o2 or any VMo2 /Telefonica/Liberty Global Company

If at home use WiFi Calling so you can make and receive calls

https://www.o2.co.uk/connectivity/wifi-and-4g-calling

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

Infrastructure issues can take time to resolve, and unfortunately dates change.

One option is to pay off your Device / Contract and move networks, but you might be in the same boat...  Always test with some PAYG networks before switching.
