When I’m out I can’t get any signal or broadband on my phone it shows that the Wi-Fi green light on

If I’m outside I can’t get any Wi-Fi  or broadband  yet the green light is on .

and any when I eventually get internet it tells me it’s not secure

What type of tariff, @Onlyu55 - PAYG or Contract? Have you got VPN enabled?

Public wifi hotspots are all insecure and should not be used for anything sensitive such as banking apps.
