Hi, I recently renewed my contract with virgin media and they sent me an o2 sim to replace my virgin sim. Ported it over this week and it seemed to go ok except iMessage and text don’t work- it continues to say it’s been unsuccessful and that the number is verifying. Have looked at previous community posts including making sure the number is right on the phone, ringing customer services to check it ported ok and that idata is bolted on, done numerous network resets and a full phone reset to no avail. As far as I can see everything look as it should. Can anyone help me with a fix for this? Thanks

You need to get a new blank sim and do a sim swap Guide: Sim Swap: a mini guide 2017 update
You can get a sim in any O2 store or by contacting O2.
If you message O2 on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this.

Hello - no unfortunately not. I rang O2 on Saturday who did some troubleshooting and advised I would need to wait at least 24 hours for messaging to work. It’s still not working. I haven’t ordered a new sim yet but I’m reluctant to do so because based on previous threads I don’t expect it to work. Thanks
