Was with virgin and now been moved to o2

new sim arrived so put it in my phone, now I’m not receiving messages/calls on my number. My iMessage and FaceTime won’t verify the number.

I’ve tried everything the internet says apart from get a new sim as only just got this one today.

logged out of my appleid and now it won’t log back in as my verification code isn’t being delivered to my phone even though it is this number I’m using.

had nothing but problems since it switched on Friday

Sounds like you need to activate the new sim card, which you will need to call o2 to do on 0344 809 0202 from another phone.

Letter it came with says no need for activation just put the SIM card in and it should work. Just tried calling and the wait is over 1 hour with them shutting at 9pm so  got cut off.

I would call at 8am when they open, as there is nothing we can do here on the community, as this is just a customer to customer forum

Just letting others know for future reference if they have my problem.

I did everything google said, aswell as customer support on the phone and online chat. Nothing solved the problem of me not receiving messages or calls. Aswell as iMessage and FaceTime not verifying my number. In the end they wanted me to wait another 3-5 days after nearly a week of this  for a “specialist” to contact me about it.

Still didn’t work in another device so isn’t the device that’s the problem either.

virgin was top notch no problems. Force move to o2 and nothing but problems since my virgin sim got disconnected. Goodbye o2 hello elsewhere 👋🏼
