Hello I’d like to change my airtime plan or even deactivate it as it is no use to me I will just stick to device plan the sim is no use to me at the moment

You won't be able to do that unless you pay off your device plan in full

You can't have just the device plan, if you want to cancel the airtime plan you need to pay off the device plan in full. 

You change your tariff by logging into myo2 and looking at the tariffs available to you.
