You can probably download it but won't be able to activate it unless in UK.

Would it activate as soon as it's on the UK network? Want it sorted and working for when we land back in the uk

Personally I wouldn't chance it. For you eSIM to work your plastic SIM has to deactivate. Too much to go wrong 


 

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

It's for my partner's phone as Vodafone won't give an existing customer a good deal. So no plastic SIM and ideally want it working for when he lands back in the UK next week. I'll be staying here in the Falklands
