ESIM not working outside UK

Really hope someone can help me with this. My physical SIM always worked fine everywhere in Europe. But when I swapped to an eSIM it just doesn’t seem to get me access to 4G or 5G outside the UK.
I’m on a pay monthly SIM only deal on an iPhone XR. And yes, I’ve tried turning it on and off again etc. multiple times!
thanks in advance

These are some tips to try :

  Reboot phone.
  Manually search for a different network
  If using an iPhone, change data APN to  mobile.o2.co.uk
  Call customer service to check for any roaming bars
  Or if you message O2 using the social media links below, they should be able to help you with this

@Elphinwhite

Try manually searching for a different network.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Thanks for this speedy response. Really appreciated.
The networks I connected to manually only gave me a phone signal. No data.
thanks again

Thanks for this. Multiple reboots and manual searching seems to have fixed it. Thanks for replying so quickly and comprehensively. Really appreciate.
