I just migrated from pay as you go to contract. Suddenly my phone stopped connecting to the network (it connected perfectly as pay as you go). Thought it was a sim problem and tried to lock and unlock my sim card. Now I am told the sim card is disabled and for me to enter the PUK code that I must have thrown away. What should I do?

You can get your PUK here https://www.o2.co.uk/help/phones-sims-and-devices/unblock-your-phone?osr=puk
Edited to add, you need a new sim card when moving to contract as they are different.

O2 should automatically send you a new sim card when you arranged to go onto contract
If you haven't received it you need to call them
