looking for advice here, I owe around £70 which I plan to pay on 20/12/18 per advice of guy on phone who said once balance cleared the phone will be reactivated.  I have received an email from O2 today demanding final bill of £320!!!  Is my phone and number still active or has account now been closed?

Sounds like the system has closed you out.
It doesn't matter what the advisers tell you as the computers take over.
You need to call customer services when you can to see if it can be reversed.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

@xox20 When service is restored to normal you will need to speak to customer service. If the email says you still owe money, that will not go away.

@xox20 This is a customer community. No one here has access to anyone else's account. You will have to speak to customer service once the dust settles and the network is restored. I would imagine it will take a very long time to get through for a considerable period of time once they're up and running again.

Contracts are 2 years unless you got a special deal?

Hi @xox20, how are you getting on with this? Did you manage to speak with customer service yet and find out more about the email you had received?
