insurance new contract armed forces

i have recently lost my phone i was wondering whether i can get a new contract and pay them both at same time. i was insured but it was damage cover not full cover and i dont think i am able to upgrade insurance in order to cover me 😞 i am armed forces whether that give me any benefits. thank you

You can still take another contract as long as you pass the credit checks, but obviously you'll need to pay both until you can pay off the old one.

i have never missed a payment with o2 but i did take out loan recently will that mean im less likely to be accepted?

Usually not a problem @woody3. If you have been accepted for a loan it proves you have a reasonable credit rating as the loan company accepted your request.  Unless anything has changed, nowadays. I took out a loan to help my son about 7 years ago and have never been refused a new contract with O2.
