There was one assistant manning the one check-out and another directing customers to the self check-out till.
All this on a busy pre-Christmas Saturday.......very sad.
W H Smith in our area is totally the same in terms of checkout. Queues forming down the shop aisle while one assistant deals with all of them
Problem is, the one assistant tries to sell every customer chocolate and sweets on offer at the till instead of just checking out the goods bought

Another heading for oblivion. ..?
More likely a move to gradually downmarket the brand a la Aldi and Lidl ?

Well done to all who managed to get the free calendar.
I 'saved' the offer on my app, but before I could get to the shop today the offer has finished. I thought 'saved' meant I could get it later, but clearly not!
What really annoys me, is that these 'priority' offers are supposed to be for O2 customers, but are being taken by people who are on contracts with other providers, and they just remove their sim, and put the free O2 one in, so they can take advantage of the offer.
About time O2 woke up to this, and made these offers only available when genuine O2 customers log into their account....phew! rant over.

Anyone using an O2 SIM card is a customer on the network and is therefore entitled to it.
Not necessarily - anyone can use a PAYG sim that has never been topped up and receive the registration code on it and then use the Priority rewards without spending a penny with O2 at all.
I agree - It's a loophole that needs plugging.

It's difficult to know how to plug this, perhaps top up history should be factored in?
