Ivebeen with O2 now for nearly 4 years, give or take and over the past year or so I have not been able to view my bill or any other details when I login. The only thing I can do is view my personal details (ie: my address and name) and check my upgrade date, if I try anything else it just takes me back to the login screen even though I am still logged in!
I spoken to people at O2 endless amounts of time to no avail, they have promised me everything time that someone will fix it or get back to me and they NEVER have. To say Im annoyed by this is putting it mildly.
i want to cancel my account as soon as I'm able to (i think my contract ends end of Jan 2013) but need to know if I'm able do this without being ignored and if I can get any compensation for basically being ignored over and over again.
im only writing this on here out of sheer frustration and I the hope someone at O2 might read this and sort it out! Thanks

Under the circumstances is there anyway I can cancel it earlier as a courtesy for all the many phone calls and even an an email or two (I'm assuming, as informed during the phone calls all calls are recorded and noted on the system). January 2013 is my last month.

Not unless you come to an agreement with O2.

What sort of agreement?
i have kept a screen shot of this conversation on here also, so as to email it to O2 and anyone else that may be able to help.

Phoned them first thing, explain my problem (yet again) and ask if there was anyway I could cancel early as a courtesy and there being only 2 months left of my contract And they told me they would have to transfer me to someone else and cut me off..
is there an emaiI address I can use to mail someone a bit higher up than customer services because frankly I have had enough now. It's either that or watchdog.

To update again, I called them again just now out of sheer frustration and went through the story with the CS lady and she spoke to a supervisor who discovered my account is 'deactivated' even though i can log in and i clearly have an account with them (The direct debits coming out of my account each month agree)...they then requested to the manager I cancel my contract one month (thats all i have left apparently) before its due to expire and guess what? He refused...
Superb customer relations....not
