Is it possible to have 2 o2 accounts in the same name?

My granddaughter is moving abroad in April next year and as my existing account ends 28th of March next year I want to give her my sim only card and take out another one for myself.

Is this possible?

Thank's

You can have as many O2 acounts that you can afford.

What a lovely Grandmother you are. You can do that either in a O2 store, online and via customer service.

If you need help with choosing a new tariff/contract/sim only then lots of people on here to advise you.

Also just to add that you will need to let O2 know that the phone is going to be used abraod and it may be worth purchasing a international calls/texts package to save a few pennies.

A little advice as well when somebody is abroad and recieves a call that goes to voicemail that account will be charged. So switch off the voicemail to avoid additional unexpected costs.

Safe journeys to your grand daughter

She will not be taking the contract abroad. Just letting her use for for free until the contract ends, then the contract will be closed.

Thank's

Oh ok, do not forget to give 30 days notice for cancelling the contract though or it will then have a 30 day rolling contract.

Didn't know that. Thanks for the heads up. Could have been a little costly ;0)
