Hi, I havent used my O2 number for many months & i think its locked out. No Signal/operator. I am in saudi Arabia & usually get one of the local network.
Can anyone tell me how i can check if my number is still active or point me to someone who can check?
Thanks muso4142

You need to make a chargeable call in any 6 month period or top up every 999 days if memory serves me right. After 6 months the sim is deactivated and after another period of time (not sure how long) the number is reclaimed by O2.
After the sim has been disconnected it's possible to contact customer service and get the number reactivated but you will probably have to top up aws part of the agreement to reconnect. If you leave it till the number has been reclaimed then you can't reactivate it and you lose any credit that was on the simcard.

they will either reactivate it for you or it may have been given to someone else as it is the property of o2 & may need to get a new number

I think its 45 days of no activity after the expiry of money on the account that it becomes deactivated and a further 45 days before the number gets re-allocated.
I may be wrong as I am using old grey cells to recall.
CS is your only point of call as has been said.
