Upgrading questions

Hi

My wife was previously with carphone warehouse on the o2 network and that 24 month contract has now ended.

She is now paying just a monthly air time plan fee to o2.

Can she upgrade directly with o2 or is that only for “direct” o2 customers?

Also, the other leg to the situation is that she is now technically unemployed as she’s a stay at home mum since our youngest was born last year.

Could she still upgrade? She’s never missed any phone payments and I would pay the bill.

Thanks

Simple answer is Yes she can update through o2 direct and Yes, she should be able to upgrade.

O2 do not credit check for upgrades so it won't be a problem being unemployed as long as the bills are paid.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Great thanks.

I knew that the process for upgrades was a bit easier eg no credit checks - but didn’t know how it would impact given she’s not gone back into employment yet.

From doing my upgrade I remember o2 asked some high level questions re employment status and income band. Will it not cause any issues if she puts stay at home mum / unemployed and a zero to 10k income band?

I guess I must have been asked those questions at some point in the past, but never on any upgrades that I can remember.
