Yesterday, I asked o2 to unlock my Samsung S9 phone and gave them my IMEI. Received a txt and email this morning stating o2 could not do this, as it was purchased via Carphone Wharehouse and I should contact them. When I did, CW said it does not unlock phones. My question is, and I am willing to pay: How can I get o2 to unlock my phone? Using the 202 is useless and frustrating!

Phones supplied by CPW are not locked.
Have you tried another sim?

It's down to O2 to unlock the phone
Follow this guide

Many thanks for getting back to me so quickly, it is much appreciated. Following your advice on the o2 app takes me to the same place where I enter my imei and select the other dervice type option. Unfortunately, all this does is state they will contact me within 7 days. So I am back to square 1, o2 saying they cannot unlock my phone because it was supplied under contract by a 3rd party. How do I contact Admin with this problem.

Not tried putting in a new SIM. Contract ends **Personal info**21 and told it is locked to o2, just want to ensure that I can use the phone on other networks and have gone down the route of requesting o2 to unlock me, but it says it cannot since it was provided by a 3rd party.
