Yesterday, I asked o2 to unlock my Samsung S9 phone and gave them my IMEI.  Received a txt and email this morning stating o2 could not do this, as it was purchased via Carphone Wharehouse and I should contact them.  When I did, CW said it does not unlock phones.  My question is, and I am willing to pay:  How can I get o2 to unlock my phone?  Using the 202 is useless and frustrating!

@SG9_Chris Your phone is not locked. Carphone Warehouse don't lock their phones, and O2 hasn't locked phones since August 2018.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

Your phone isn't locked @SG9_Chris

CPW only sold unlocked phones

The exception was the iphone which locked to the first sim inserted

Samsungs are unlocked

Just order a free P&G sim online from any network and they will register on your S9

@SG9_Chris

Just to repeat what I've already said. The phone is not locked.

No android device sold by CPW ever was locked.

Thank you everyone for taking the trouble to answer my query and the majority are saying my phone is not currently locked.  Will get myself a SIM from another network and see.

Which will not be an issue on a UK phone for use on any network in the UK.
