Hi am currently on 50GB sim only plan my contract ends May 2019.

Thinking of going on o2 new price plan where you can choose length of tariff etc would o2 let me do that?

Hi again guys, so customers who are on a 12-month SIM only plan can upgrade after they have been with O2 for a minimum of 3 months, without termination fee. You can check out the terms here. slight_smile

You can only do that when you upgrade, so wait or pay off your current device plan first.

Just been in contact with O2 customer services if i upgrade to a new plan with a new device i do not have to pay contract off as it only applies to device plans.

In effect you start a new contract when you upgrade it only applies to upgrading from sim only contracts.
