Afternoon all. Apologies if this is in the wrong area, my first post.

I've just heard from one of my local O2 stores that switch up is changing to every 3 months now. Anyone confirm if this is true?

Thank you for the info. I have the plus plan so I'm guessing I'll be unaffected by this?

@Soks99

I have also asked on Twitter, and got the following response. And o2 should be telling people now the change of terms as they should be telling people 30 days in advance of any change...

Can someone in o2 @Breanna @Chris_K @Martin-O2 find out what these changes are going to be before the forum gets hit with lots of complaints from customers??

@madasaf1sh O2 are going to send over the info for the updated bolt on terms when they can and I will post here and make sure they make it to the Switch Up guide as well.

The important note is that only customers with the bolt on are affected from August 3 and as far as we know, they were already notified of the change starting from 29 June as mentioned in the Switch Up post. Anyone who has Switch Up as part of their Plus Plan will see no change.

If anyone who comes across this post has the bolt on and hasn't received any notification (or if you have), let us know!

Thanks @Breanna

I think the stores are telling people with the Plus Plan they are also affected by the change (I have 2 plans with the Plus Plan) and been told once every 3months to change devices.

So would be good to get clarity...

I too upgraded to a plus plan yesterday and was told the same by the store, that going forward I can’t switch up for at least 3 months.

Ok so. The stores are telling customers every 90 days but the website is saying this "O2 Switch Up Plus Plan customers

If you got O2 Switch Up as part of a Plus Plan tariff before 3 August 2023 and have stayed on a Plus Plan since then, you can continue to swap your phone whenever you like.

If you got O2 Switch Up as part of a Plus Plan tariff from 3 August 2023, you can swap to a new phone every 90 days."

I'm so confused. Why is the communication in o2 so bad?
