You can but you need to

1. Call customer service to end your contract and ask them for a P&G sim with your number

2. The sim would have to be sent to a UK address and you would need someone to forward it onto you (a family member or friend)

Also remember you need to make a chargeable call once every 6 months and top up every 999 days to keep the PAYG sim active......

Here is the available Payg sims to look at http://www.o2.co.uk/tariffs/payandgo

The 02 unlimited one is a tariff where you top up, get some allowances and actually keep the top up credit amount ,which can be used for calls etc after your allowances have been exhautsed or used for your next top up anniversary date.

Allowances last 30 days.

I switched to P&G this week because I'm not using my monthly allowance. They automatically put me on a bundle for £10/month. That's not what I want! I never use that much. What are the magic words to get an allowance which goes till I use it up and top up?

Ask customer service to switch you to O2 unlimited or you should be able to do it yourself in My O2.
