Hello, I have recently paid off my iPhone and want to change to a Sim only. When I go to do an upgrade to Sim only through the My O2 app, the deals are a lot more than I wanted to pay.
I found a good deal on uSwitch (12months £10 70gb) which I would like however when I go through the steps, it looks like it wants to add a new connection and doesn’t give me an option for upgrading mine with that deal.

Will I have to open that as a new connection and then contact O2 to swap/port or something similar?

I have various device plans on My O2 account so it’s all in one place and that’s what I would like to continue doing. Whats the easiest way to proceed?

You cant do it via uSwitch anymore as those deals are only for new customers or new contracts. (as uSwitch make no commission from you (or very little) as an existing customer.

You have 2 options :

1. Sign up for a new contract and then ask o2 to migrate your number to the new contract Guide: Migration & porting into O2

2. Port your number out to another network and then port back in, and to be honest you might find better deals outside of o2

This is not customer services and we dont have access to your account
I do not work for o2 or any VMo2 /Telefonica/Liberty Global Company

Thank you, that is a bit annoying. I did speak to O2 on live chat and they offered me a similar deal but for 24 months instead of 12.

I will have to have a think

Don't forget these contracts go up by £1.80 each April. You will have two lots of £1.80 with a 24 month deal

My USwitch deal ends at the end of March. I may well PAC out then PAC back in.

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.
