Swap Sim

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hey guys,

I recently broke my iphone 4s and have an iphone 5 as a replacement. I want to swap my sim in a hurry but the only way they let you do it online is by texting you a code - I cant receive a text as the phone is broke and I dont have an alternative that fits a mocro sim! Does anyone know if there is a way I can do this online by getting them to text the code to an alternate number or do I just have to wait until they open tomorrow?

Thanks x

If you have a phone that takes a larger sim size you could make or use an adapter to temp fit your sim into it.
The part of the sim carrier that you have left behind after pushing the micro sim out can be used.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

An O2 shop can do this for you and would be the better option imo.

Edit : just to explain - they can't text the code to another number as this is one way of making sure its the correct number being swapped.

Put your old sim in a phone that take a similar size or use an adapter. Then you can receive the code. Other than that the store is your best option and quickest.

Some shops can also cut down the micro sim to make it a nano one. They have to be careful as not to make it fail.

I'd still go with popping into an O2 shop tho.
