My current deal has just expired and I’d like to upgrade to a deal I’ve found on uswitch.
Last time I done this I could select an option where I could upgrade my existing deal, but this time when I go to checkout, it’s just going through as a new deal and I cannot see an option for the upgrade even when signed into my account.
Do I need to take it out as a new deal and cancel my current or should the option appear? I’d like to keep my current number as well

Has anybody had any luck on sorting this issue? My current deal has just expired and I can't upgrade either!

Nope, looks like O2 have decided USwitch is only new contracts at the moment.
Maybe too many of us using it to get round the annual price rise

I had also tried at the beginning of April but wasn't able to, but it has just worked now so give it a go if you still need it!

Yes the issue has been resolved now
I upgraded on 12th April via USwitch

I have the same issue, so it looks like this is still an issue

I've just been through this, I had to call O2 and cancel a new sim after doing USwitch (£8/32GB), I thought it would just swap my tarrif like last year.
The guy on the phone told me it's no longer possible to swap using a third party because of changes they made in the last month, he didn't give any more details.
He wanted to offer me £8/30GB 24months instead, I guess I'll go elsewhere now.

The upgrade option has disappeared again

Yup, tried it earlier
I'm sure it will be back before long

I have just tried to do the same and wasn't able to. The online chat just kept trying to sell me their more expensive direct deals. I've just ended the chat and will try again in a couple of days.

Still no upgrade option as of 07:30am 21-Jun-2025 - as you wrote, best leave it, give it another try mid-week, @Elizabeth9
