Hi
I am sure you will be able to swap it for a different handset in store within the 7 days period
You can always call CS on 202 and ask just to be sure

Also, you can only swap once so make sure you choose the right phone for yourself
May I ask what phone are you using at the moment?

From the T&C's:
O2 Refresh: once you've signed up
Within seven working days, you can cancel your O2 Refresh package as part of our change of mind policy. This means you cancel both the Airtime Plan and Phone Plan, get a refund on your upfront phone payment and return the phone to us.
You have 14 days to change your mind about buying the phone with a credit agreement. You can’t return the phone to us after the 7 day change of mind period ends so you'll need to buy it outright. You can still carry on with your Airtime plan.

Below is a very specific quote from the t&C that affect the op on speed to refresh
c. Understand and agree that if you change your mind you won't be able to go back to your previous airtime tariff or get a refund on your Speed to Refresh Fee. However, you'll still have the right to change your mind about the phone or cancel completely as set out in paragraph 8 below.

@Adam Do you think that applies to all Refresh deals or only those where Speed to Refresh has been used?

Hi all
thanks for the replies, I have asked in the O2 store where I made the purchase and have been told that the 7 day exchange does not apply to speed to refresh when done in store. So looks like i'm keeping my current phone until I can pay off the phone plan and do another upgrade.
The phone I have is an iPhone 5s and I don't have any major problems with the phone except for the coverage I seam to be getting with it.
Example: using my 4G SIM in a Sony Xperia Z1
Home: 4G Signal, speed approx 40Mbs, 4 bars signal average
Work: 4G Signal, speed approx 50Mbs, full signal, occational drop to 3 bar H+ signal
Now with the 5S I get:
Home: 3 bars 4G Signal, speed 11Mbs, signal does drop more frequently but not to 3G it drops straight to 2G / E
Work: 2 -3 bars 4G, no speed test run, frequent drops to 2G / E not to 3G
I have also done a few leisure visits to various places where the Z1 will have a full 3G signal and the iPhone 5S has 2G coverage only.
Now I am aware that handset manufactures consider signal strength differently and as such report it differently however the 5s seams unable to hold a 3G signal at all. I've only had the phone for 2 days and haven't even unpacked the charger, cable or headphones.
Bit dissapointed really, but it appears there is nothing I can do.
