My old iPhone 11 did not support 5g but I have a new iPhone 16e and it does support 5g. Is the sim from my old phone set up to use 5g because I seem to remember being asked if my phone was 5g when I first got my sim. Grateful for any help or advice. Thanks in advance.

Possibly but it won't hurt to get a new sim anyway as yours will be a fair few years old now.

Pop in store with photo ID to get one for free.

Many thanks for the advice and I’ll do exactly as you have suggested - it makes sense given the age of my sim 😊
