Hey all,

Due my yearly upgrade on Wednesday, just had a few questions regarding my current handset.

I think I shall be doing the upgrade in store. Do I need the box and all original accesories when I hand the phone back to O2?

Will I be given time in store to transfer my data from one phone to the other?

Thanks in advance.

@robj87 Only the phone required I would do a full backup first before getting to the store etc and then start the restore process on the free o2 Wi-Fi in store

That is how I have done mine in the past

iPhone 11 Pro 256gb on unlimited data
iPad Pro 12.9” 2020 256gb refresh o2 family discount
Apple Watch series 4
My first mobile was in 1995 a CM-R111 from sony on Cellnet.

I guess it depends on the store and how busy they are.
I did a phone to phone transfer on the last upgrade I did but it took a few mins, so if the store is busy, they may not allow you the time.

Thanks for the replies.

I am making the move from Android to iPhone, so would ideally use the Move to iOS app on my Android first, but would need both phones in my possession to do that.

You could use Samsung SmartSwitch and back up at home, then restore new phone from the backup.
It works for multiple phone across both iOS and Android.

So I can keep the charging brick? Nice.

I will give smart switch a look, as it is a Samsung I am switching from.

Should be a fairly simple process in store, getting a new handset, yeah?

Yeah, dead easy as long as they have your phone in stock.

There's a quick backup guide I did here https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/How-to-Guides/Backing-up-your-phone/bc-p/1114212

@robj87 You also want to wipe your phone of all your personal data before handing it back. Here's how:

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2
