I recently lost my phone and my insurance company want to see proof of ownership which includes the IMEI number.
Unfortunately I do not have the original invoice any more. I have called 3 times and also visited my local O2 shop with no luck. I've been told it's not possible. How can a technology company that employs thousands not have the ability to issue a document saying this person owned this phone with these details.
Guaranteed when the contract is due I will be cancelling it.

You can get a proof of ownership, as I have had one from o2.
I would try messaging o2 on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this.
I do not work for o2 or any VMo2 /Telefonica/Liberty Global Company

You need to ask O2 for a "standard insurance letter".
There is a proforma on the system that they populate with your details and send on to you.
Please select the post that helped you best and mark as the solution. This helps other members in resolving their issues faster. Thank you.
