Expired passport for click and collect.

Hi,

My mother whos elderly wants to switch up but I do all her upgrades etc. I'm going to do it online for her but wants me to collect the phone from store as last time she had delivery issues etc. I know I can pick it up for her using my ID, her ID and an email code. Her passport however expired years ago and she's never saw the point in renewing it. A few years ago when I last collected a phone for her and was all fine but since then I'm not sure if any rules have changed.  I did read another article on here but that was from 2017. So my question is, will I be fine to collect her phone for her with her passport if its expired?

Probably best calling the store from which you are going to collect.

@Rog22 Unfortunately, I don't think they'll accept it, I took my own Passport, which is still in date, for ID purposes about 6 months ago and they still didn't believe I am who I am.

This was to the shop on Fargate in Sheffield City Centre.

Perhaps your appearance has changed somewhat from your original passport photo which never really look normal

Except for my passport which really supports my handsome good looks and youthful charm

@jonsie Good point, the selfie on my own Passport was taken at least 10 years ago, I've lost hair since then *shudders*

 I called the store today and they seem to think it will be ok. Will have to wait and see if guess.

So I collected it today no issues what so ever with the expired passport 😁
