Hi @Hd45

Use your old sim or do a sim swap to activate the new one Guide: Sim Swap: a mini guide 2017 update

Lots of people reporting poor signal issues on the iPhone 12 series over at Apple

https://discussions.apple.com/thread/251970550 (just one of many)

If no luck with that @Hd45

I'd contact Apple to check the phone https://www.apple.com/uk/retail/geniusbar/

They can run diagnostics remotely over the phone or chat.
