Phone blocking

Hello guys. So I have been with o2 over 20 years and their prices just seem to be getting outrageous and I cannot keep up especially now times are hard. I have found my phone and contract with such a better SIM deal for less than £20 a month than what I pay now. My question is if I couldn’t afford both bill would O2 block my PHONE. I know they would my SIM

Hi yes o2 would block the phone in roughly 3 to 6 months

O2 only block your SIM, they wouldn't block the phone except for it it was ever reported lost or stolen.

Do you know this as set in stone. As the other comment says only the SIM unless reported stolen. Thank you for your reply. @liggerz87

They would still send the debt collector after you and ruin your credit rating though @KirstyJade

As mi5 said I'd bought 2 phones that was on o2 2nd hand and after a while both phones got blocked what had happened was someone got a z3 compact on contract sold phone and didnt pay o2 got blocked

A common insurance scam.
They sell the phone then report it stolen. Insurance pay out and the phone gets blocked.

thing is mi5 the phone wasn't even reported stolen or lost I did get a little of my money back I told my friend who owned the shop not to touch o2 phones I told him funny how 2 phones I got off him got blocked a d was o2 other networks he got didnt get blocked i told him your lucky it was me as someone who had bought 2 ohones of you got blocked and you not given money back they threatened to break you leg or something or smash your shop window your lucky it me after thst I never bought a phone off him other than a Samsung a10 and a 20 of him
