just had a new phone and sim card, popped sim card into my new phone and it won't activate, can't make phone calls as it says not registered to network. help

You can do a sim swap yourself if it was an upgrade Guide: Sim Swap: a mini guide 2017 update 

Or use your old sim.

If an esim, it can be activated in your MyO2 eSIM - How to activate
