O2 is it really this bad.

Joined 02 on Thursday last week, received sim card Friday and early evening rang customer services to iniate porting my number. Gave them all the details and they told me it would happen Monday as the porting team didn't work weekends (really). So okay Monday before 10.00am or worse case by 6.00pm. As of 6.30pm still not ported the number over. Thought I would ring customer services again. Waited just over one hour before I was either cut off or my phone cut the call. During that time I was reminded before each record that I was in a queue, I had worked that out. No estimated waiting time or position in the queue, thought 02 was a leader in communication!

Anyway thought I might try online chat, forget it always busy.

So I am no nearer and now thinking of leaving 02 before the fourteen day grace period is up.

Tell me I am wrong and I have been unlucky.

Ports submitted on Friday won't be actioned until the following Tuesday - they should have told you this!
There is also a problem with cs today which O2 are aware of and working on fixing.

I am sorry about the porting issues but we do know people contacting customer services today are having problems with the systems being down...

Been an member for two years now, the online chat has never worked from home or work, the waiting time on customer services is a joke, get out while you can, not sure where to go had the same issues with vodafone when my contract was over I moved to o2, but at least vodafone played "go love yourself" while you waited the 40 minutes to get through,

Best time to call is between 8-8.30am. Personally I have never had issues getting through to anyone so suppose I must be lucky. However there is a system issue today so people are having problems
