O2 frustration!

Anonymous
Not applicable

I have a current pay monthly contract that I wanted to early upgrade using O2 Refresh. I went online and thought i had upgraded but it appears I have actually now got a completely seperate new contract instead. My old contract is still running. I spoke with O2 who said I have a new O2 Refresh contract not an upgrade and I need to refuse delivery of the iPhone due to arrive tomorrow. I can then go back online and upgrade properly to get the same iPhone. I dont understand why they cant just trasfer my current contract to the new refresh phone thats arriving tomorrow. Does this sound right?!

Refuse delivery but also call customer service to advise them that you have refused delivery and are cancelling the contract. You can't take a chance that the previous adviser has placed the relevant notes on the account.

If your old contract is still running it sounds as if you have started a new one and not upgraded as you wanted to.

The advice seems right and will stop the new one.

Ok so if I just refuse delivery today, the phone will go back and the contract will be cancelled? Or do I have to do something else to stop them taking any money? The O2 adviser wasn't very clear. Thanks for all your help.

When all is clear I would suggest paying a visit to your local 02 High-Street Store to Upgrade.

That way theirs no error and you walk away with the handset.
