Are o2 sim only tariffs being hiked up by an extra £3 from October 2025?

Customers that were migrated from Virgin mobile.

O2 help desk chat confirmed this was the case.

@MI5

Yes, but you also said and like I quoted earlier "Do nothing and the price will remain the same"

If I did nothing the price wouldn't be the same.

So you've had the email from O2 then @Diston ?

From October 1 prices are set to increase by £3 a month, which works out as an extra £36 a year. A Virgin Media O2 spokesperson said: “We have written to a small proportion of former Virgin Mobile customers, who migrated across to O2 in 2023, to inform them that the cost of their Unlimited airtime plan will increase by £3 a month from 1 October.

If I wasn't still paying for Airtime/Device plan I'd have binned O2 at least a year ago.

@MI5 Nobody reads the Terms and conditions these days, that's why the likes of O2 get away with stuff they shouldn't.
