For 24 hours yes since you get travel removed but then the speed drops to 0.1mbps and you need to get the standard rate cap removed and added again for the speed to go back up

I thought so. @jonsie who lives in Thailand has nothing but good things to say about the local networks. I think he uses DTAC?

I use DTAC and TRUE and both have really good coverage. Genuine 4G too.
Please do not get your local sim at the airport. Apart from the massive queues they are a total rip off. If you can, you are better going to the call centres in the bigger cities/towns. They have them in the supermarkets such as Big C or the malls. Or failing that, the many, many 7-11 stores.
