Travel Inclusive Zone Bolt On

So I’ve been contacting CS. Interestingly enough, if you have the bolt on and no limit on the standard charges, it works very fast -50mbps. Only issue is - this is for 24hours, then it drops to 0.1mbps. Getting the standard zone outside of Europe -no data limit removed then re added each day is the only way for the speeds to be good enough to use. I have not been charged anything. This is a huge pain, takes 20 mins each day just to get the data to work on live chat

Oh and having o2 travel + the inclusive zone limits speeds to a constant 0.5mbps but no social media will even load on this.

I was about to ask, if you remove the travel bolt on altogether and just rely on standard EU rates + inclusive does this work?

For 24 hours yes since you get travel removed but then the speed drops to 0.1mbps and you need to get the standard rate cap removed and added again for the speed to go back up

I’m in Thailand in a couple of weeks but fortunately the latest iPhone is unlocked automatically (I’ve tested another sim) so il going to avoid the 0.5 speeds thank u very much

I thought so. @jonsie who lives in Thailand has nothing but good things to say about the local networks. I think he uses DTAC?

I use DTAC and TRUE and both have really good coverage. Genuine 4G too.

Please do not get your local sim at the airport. Apart from the massive queues they are a total rip off. If you can, you are better going to the call centres in the bigger cities/towns. They have them in the supermarkets such as Big C or the malls. Or failing that, the many, many 7-11 stores.
