I have a SIM only contract, but because my Samsung S7 is unsupported I need to get a new phone. I can get a good deal via Samsung/O2 but the online form on the Samsung website says I can't transfer my old number.   Is this right?

@Jenny596 Your post is confusing. What do you mean your Samsung S7 is unsupported? Where does it say you can't transfer your old number? All you would have to do is put your sim in the new phone.

Samsung are no longer issuing security updates for my phone = unsupported.  I wish to get a new phone, with a new contract, but it's cheaper through Samsung than upgrading with O2, but I'd like to keep my existing number

@Jenny596 Do you mean you just want to buy a phone through Samsung? They don't do phone network contracts. All you have to do is purchase the phone and use your current sim.

@Jenny596

Once you get your new contract through Samsung you'll need your pac from o2 to transfer to the network they use if not o2.
If it is o2, just call customer service to migrate your number to the new contract.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
