Hello,

I've requested the PAC code. So I want to cancel my sim only contract I have been on with Virgin Mobile, who transferred me to O2. My next payment is due **Personal info**23. On my O2 site/account there is no option to cancel my contract. I don't want to pay on the **Personal info**23, how am I supposed to switch, can someone explain this in a simple way? How can I keep my current number? Do I cancel my Direct Debit on the 22/06 ?

I see this guide:

https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/How-to-Guides/Cancelling-your-contract-An-updated-guide/ba-p/1234852

It doesn't really explain what will happen if I purchase another SIM from another provider. How to avoid paying twice? When should my new deal start so I can be switched?

Is there a phone number I can call to discuss this with a real person (no, not a chat bot!) ?

Regards,

Ryszard

When the new network processes the PAC and transfers your number, your O2 contract will end immediately.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

In the PAC text message it says it will expire on XX/06/2023. Does it mean I have to request a new PAC when it expires? Does it change every month?

Thanks,

Richard

PAC is valid for 30 days. If it is not used in that time you will need a new one

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.
