As O2 still has no VoLTE support makes no difference at present on other UK networks you really need to ask on their community / forums

I'm afraid we can't say for other networks but as @adamtemp64 says, it's irrelevant for the O2 network.

How about in general? I think it may more likely work on O2 when VoLTE is available if it works in general.
