Hi, have O2 Volt sim travelling to NZ and USA in the New Year and think I need some help with APN settings. When in USA last year couldn’t get any reception or useful support. Current APN has idata.o2.co.uk . Seen some advice to change to mobile.o2.co.uk . Is this correct? Many thanks.

If O2 have since correctly provisioned your account for an iPhone, you should be good. You would have had to do that after returning from the US and setting your APN back to the idata from the mobile.o2.co.uk APN.

If you get to NZ and no roaming data, you will know to switch it back. One change with US networks since last year is the removal of 3G - USA - Roaming with O2 explains that you need to have "4G Calling" enabled in both the O2 Account and your handset for voice calls to work correctly there. Data can still be slow in USA when roaming on T-Mobile, and nonexistent on AT&T - so be prepared to manually search for T-mobile when you get there, with 4G Calling enabled. No such issues reported from NZ, thankfully. Enjoy your trip, @FrankA123 👍🏼
