Hi

I want to change my direct debit details for my 2 Ipad accounts. The security process is to send a tex to submit a code. Ipads dont accept text messages. I have changed the sim and out it in a phone, received the text message, applied it to my online account and it wont save the new bank details.

Been on the customer suppprt line on hold for 1:50Hrs but no answer and no live chat facility.

Is O2 still open for business?

Hi @Dronepilot ,

O2 Stores, Web chat and a large portion of customer services are closed due to social distancing guidelines. The customer service team currently operating is just a tiny portion of the staff so waiting times are very long. Is it urgent to change your bank details asap? If not I would suggest waiting until things normalize or If you have just changed banks then they should be able to move your direct debits for you.

If it's simply changing the name of your bank, this can be done in My O2 under MANAGE MY DETAILS @Dronepilot

Hi

Thanks for the reply.

I appreciatte they are obviously busy, but every other company is still maintaining communication with there customers.

The phone number you sent didnt work, but thank you. The link dosent help either as I need to authenticate online with a text message which it is not accepting.

Does O2 have a live chat system?

Could you stick the sim into a phone to receive the text?

Please note, this is not customer services and we cannot access your account. Do not publish personal details (email, phone number, bank account).

Link to our guide on how to contact them can be found here
