Re: Cancellation Fee

Check to see if there is a problem here and report it to O2 if not:
http://status.o2.co.uk/
You cannot be released from contract because you have moved unfortunately, so you would have to pay the remaining months charges.

Re: Cancellation Fee

O2 never state they have full coverage throughout the UK. If it's a known poor coverage area O2 might do something but their network team would have to do an investigation first, involving engineers coming out to check the coverage in the area. And you'd have to do a bit of fault diagnosis first - SIM cleans, SIM in different phone, checking it on 2G/ 3G etc so if you want to start this you can ring customer service from another number to see what they can do.
Otherwise, as they've said you're a bit stuck as O2 provided you with coverage (I assume) at the address the contract was set up on, and as you've moved that's outside O2's control so they couldn't cancel it.

You seem to have moved to this area while being fully aware of the existing problem.
I don't think O2 can be responsible for that.
Your best bet is to ask them to investigate and see if they can do anything for you.
