Hi all.

It will be a week now, since I have problem with call recorder app.

I have tried about 10 apps and none of them doesn't work on Samsung galaxy S8.

Any one knows why ?

Its recording the conversation but won't play back.

Thanks for any help.

Regards.

Dave

Hi Dave. I use 'Call Recorder' from the Google Play store, but the version I use only works on Android 8 or below. I'm using a Sony Xperia L3 mobile phone. It uses the AMR sound format, so if your phone doesn't support AMR, that might be the reason for non-playback. You can check all the specs for your Samsung Galaxy S8 on GSMArena.com.

A bit more digging shows the "native" call recording on most phones, where available, is often not useable based on the country where you live, @Dave16 ans @Silver-Lake.

India seems to allow it, as in the video above.

So yes, a 3rd party recorder is needed, and .AMR files need conversion or an app suited to playing them back (share the recording to your PC and see if the media player can handle them by opening the player first and then browsing to wherever you saved the clip.

I last tried this on the HTC One mini years ago - far too much hassle.

Good luck.
