Call Charges

Hi Does anyone know why calls to 0800 and 0500 numbers cost 20.4p a minute on pay monthly but only 15p a minute on payg surely pay monthly should get the cheaper price as we are committed and loyal to o2 this is the same with a few other numbers as well payg seem to get a cheaper price

Any thoughts?

Re: Call Charges

All "out of bundle" costs are significantly higher - even the minutes once allowances have been used - on Pay Monthly v Pay&Go.  The decision is made by those responsible for pricing without any justification as to why.

Re: Call Charges

That seems stupid it was always pay monthly customers that used to get it cheaper well it was years ago

Yep - standard call 35p on my contract phone 25p on PAYG.

Customers have never benefited from the lower BT termination rates

Re: Call Charges

Not sure. As far as call rates coming down to landlines, none of the operators have passed this on.

I'm keeping a 'legacy' T-Mobile PAYG SIM going at the moment. Calls to landlines and UK mobiles 15P Smiley Happy
