i have just pruchased a sim from a shop, i want a simple PAYG sim where i can top up as and when i want and not a reocurring £10.00 charge. Its not exactly clear what i have, i topped up £10.00 but i do not want to to happen the following month. Im using the sim card to open and close a gate so it i dont need a monthly top up.
Checked my account and it does show PAYG but under it shows
7GB of data, unlimited minutes and unlimited texts for £10 a month. Includes data rollover of up to 7GB a month.
I clicked under changed tarrif, and you have a rolling tariff option or a standard tariff option, both seem to be that a monthly charge, have i got that correct. I cant seem to find a way to get hold of O2 to check

Can't you 'chat' with them or phone them from your o2 phone for free on 4445? Probably get a call centre in India though.

Sorry but O2 don't do Classic PAYG any longer. They only do Big Bundles which is what you are on now.
You should try 1P mobile for a classic tarriff. https://www.1pmobile.com/
Give O2 a call on 202 or 0344 809 0202 (Contract) OR 4445 or 0344 809 222 (PAYG)
Or you can message O2 on Facebook ( https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter ( https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram ( https://o2uk.co/O2CIG), hopefully they should be able to help.

I'm not sure how you got that tariff @mikeline as O2 stopped supplying it years ago. However, the OP @robpeake28 is on a BIG BUNDLE which is what he said he did NOT want.

That is shown as default for a non activated sim card.

my sim is for a gate controller so i dont need to top it up, i basically call the sim it opens the gate. i will have a look as perhaps i need to switch to vodaphone now as both networks work on the gate. o2 have said its big bundle or nothing else on chat
