Gone from business 🧑‍💼 home too PAYG as the company I work for is giving us an allowance, I’ve just done £10 on a new phone and sim, o2 added £10 then within the same message took £10 off the balance???

That is correct as your topup will have been used for the default bundle, o2 don't offer classic style PAYG anymore, your options are either GiffGaff or Tesco (be quick with tesco there default is now bundles and they are going to be if rumours are correct killing off there classic offering).
